WINHEC delivered a written global statement on indigenous higher education to the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, ninth session, during the first week of the forum.
The statement raises important issues and recommendations regarding indigenous higher education as well as recommendations to UNPFII to follow up some issues. Read the whole statement here.
WINHEC chair Jan Henry Keskitalo states it is important that WINHEC participates with statements wherever indigenous issues are debated internationally. Co-chair Boni Robertson has done a great and important job creating the document with all the writing and editing and WINHEC is particulary thankful to her for dedicating all the time and effort to pull together this and other documents.
